How to auto-stop applications

The auto-stop feature enables you to configure long the application is run before  it is automatically stopped. This eliminates the need to manually stop those applications that you know are required for a limited time.

The auto-stop feature is configured as part of the publishing  process.

The balance of time remaining until the application is automatically stopped appears in the Auto Stop in column on the Applications page.

Reset the Auto-Stop Timer

If, prior to the application’s configured auto-stop, you determine that you need the application to continue running for a additional time, you can reset the timer for the same time interval or a different time interval.

To reset the auto-stop timer:

1      Click the corresponding time link in the Auto Stop In column.

2      Select the time period after which the application will be stopped, and click OK.

Restart an Auto-Stopped Application

If an application has been stopped by the Auto-Stop feature,  Stopped  appears in red in the Auto Stop in column in the All tab.  You can restart the application for the same time interval or a different time interval.

To reset the auto-stop timer:

1      Click Stopped  in the Auto Stop In column to display the Auto-Stop setup dialog box.

2      Select the time period after which the application will be stopped, and click OK.
